Klickr - Mechanical Keyboard Fidget
Summary: Klickr is a free, ad-supported fidget app that plays mechanical keyboard switch sounds and haptic feedback when you tap a virtual keycap. The app runs entirely on your device — no accounts, no sign-in, no cloud sync, no servers. Your tap counts, achievements, and unlocked switches are stored only on your device. The app uses Google AdMob to display ads.
1. Information We Collect
Klickr does not operate any servers and does not collect personal information directly. The only data sent off-device is what Google AdMob requires to deliver ads.
1.1 Local game data
- Total press count, combo records, achievements, milestone progress, and unlocked switch types are stored on your device using Android
DataStore Preferences.
- This data never leaves your device. It is permanently deleted when you uninstall the app.
- No account creation or sign-in is required to use Klickr.
1.2 Advertising identifier (Google AdMob)
- Google Advertising ID (AAID) — for frequency capping and personalized/non-personalized ad delivery
- IP address (used for coarse geolocation by Google's ad systems)
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
Klickr contains banner, interstitial, and app-open ads. See Google Ads Policies. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads from Settings → Google → Ads on your device.
2. Permissions We Request
| Permission | Purpose |
INTERNET | Required for Google AdMob to load and display ads. |
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE | Detect connectivity for ad loading. |
VIBRATE | Provide haptic feedback that simulates the tactile feel of each mechanical switch. |
Klickr does not request access to your microphone, camera, photos, contacts, location, or any other sensitive data. All switch sounds are bundled with the app — nothing is recorded.

4. How We Use Information

- To display advertisements through Google AdMob
Klickr does not perform any analytics, profiling, or user tracking of its own.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
- All local game data is permanently deleted when you uninstall the app.
- Ad-related data is retained by Google according to Google's data retention policies.
- You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads at any time from your device settings.
6. Data Security
- Local game data is stored in the app's private storage area, accessible only to Klickr.
- Ad requests to Google servers use encrypted HTTPS connections.
- No passwords or account credentials are stored — the app does not have user accounts.
